"Everyone on both sides of the team at the Davenport Agency, both sales and customer care have always been friendly, caring and prompt. However we want to give a special shout out for Amber King & Starr Ratcliff. Regarding Starr first, we were hit by a hefty increase in Home Owner insurance premium this year. When I called her to discuss, the bill, instead of being given a platitude about how rates were going up for everyone, Starr went into real customer care mode. First she did a thorough discovery process with us to see what, if anything changed from our side, during which she learned about all the renovations recently made on the home. She then documented all these and submitted it to State Farm for review. Because these improvements had lowered our risk factor for State Farm our premiums were actually re-adjusted to slightly lower than last year. Unfortunately I had an auto accident last August. Although I was not found to be at fault, my renewal rates were coming in doubled. I had to go into the agency office on another matter, that's when I met Amber King. I shared what was going on with the auto premiums, and again, like Starr, Amber did not shrug our predicament off, she asked permission to do a deep dive, because she immediately had a hunch. Ambers hunch paid off, she discovered that when we moved to Florida from Colorado we had been erroneously been miscategorized as new State Farm accounts, when in fact we were longtime (decades old) loyal customers. Amber's hunch and caring saved us big time, but what's more impressive, she did this not because it earned any commission, rather because she truly wanted to help."

"On April 17th I called the New Smyrna Beach Office to request a new insurance card that I did not receive. I spoke with a young gentleman. I’m sorry I didn’t get his name but anyways he asked if I wanted an emailed or a hard copy. I said a hard copy he said he would take care of it. Today is May 12th and I haven’t received a new card ,I called the office today . I spoke with Darlene. She said she is the office manager. She said that she can’t issue me a new card and it’s not their fault and it’s probably the mail’s fault! A company as large as State Farm can you imagine an employee saying that to somebody? I hope this gets to the owner Buddy Davenport because he wasn’t available and neither was anybody else for me to speak to. I will call the headquarters and hope I can get a new card."
